Turkey Sausage Makhni Curry Low-Carb Pasta
A low-carb take on a delicious Indian curry Nutrition (per serving) Carbs: 44 g Fiber: 10 g Net carbs: 34 g Calories: 650 Cal Ingredients (per serving) -0.5 packet butter chicken (makhni) ready to cook sauce mix (our favorite is the one made by Parampara, see link on the left) -1/2 cup whole milk -0.5 lb turkey sausage-1 lb zucchini Instructions 1) Using a spiral vegetable slicer (such as the ones shown here), slice the zucchini into strands with the thickness of angel hair pasta. Place in an oven-safe bowl 2) Sauté the turkey sausage in a medium saucepan over medium heat, until slightly blackened 3) Mix the butter chicken sauce mix with the turkey sausage and simmer over medium heat. Add the milk and stir 4) Toss the seasoned turkey sausage with the sliced zucchini 5) Place in the oven at 350 F for 20 minutes. The zucchini should soften up, but should remain al dente |
