Chicken Shawarma and Hummus ("Qawarma")
A traditional Lebanese recipe with amazing flavor. High in protein and healthy fat, very low in carbs Nutrition (per serving) Carbs: 32 g Fiber: 8 g Net carbs: 24 g Calories: 940 Cal Ingredients (per serving) -0.5 lb hummus (we like the Roasted Garlic Hummus by Sabra, see link to the left) -0.5 lb chicken breast -1 white onion -2 oz shawarma seasoning (our favorite is the one by Ziad, see link to the left) -3 tablespoons pine nuts -1 tablespoon paprika Instructions 1) Cut the chicken breast into small pieces, place in a mixing bowl, and coat with shawarma seasoning thoroughly 2) Spray a saucepan with spray vegetable oil, and sauté the chicken until cooked thoroughly 3) Slice the onion, and sauté in a medium saucepan until slightly brown. Mix the onion and chicken 4) In a shallow serving bowl, place an even layer of hummus, and add the onion and chicken mix in the middle 5) Decorate with pine nuts and paprika around the chicken |
